Psalms 27:14
Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD. (New Living Translation)
What is your waiting life like?
When you go to God in prayer and you ask Him for whatever it is you ask Him for; you then have to wait. Sometimes it’s a short wait. Sometimes it is a long wait which makes it a heavy weight. Sometimes it’s an eternal wait for your “desired answer” because His answer is no. While you’re waiting, you have to be strong. You have to know there is an answer to your prayer because you know God heard you. You can’t allow the enemy to cause you to doubt.
Isaiah 40:30-31 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (King James Version)
It is very important to look for “God’s answer”. His answer may not be the answer you are hoping for. However, you don’t want to miss God’s answer because it isn’t what you wanted. You don’t have the big picture, you only have the few details that you see within your finite limitations. As a result, unless He reveals it to you, you can’t really know the solution that fits into God’s infinite plan.
Isaiah 55:8-9 My intentions are not always yours, and I do not go about things as you do. 9 My thoughts and My ways are above and beyond you, just as heaven is far from your reach here on earth. (The Voice)
As your situation unfolds, you will continue to communicate with Him through prayer. You will come to know God better as you wait. Waiting brings you closer, but more importantly, so does His answer. Whatever the outcome, your relationship with the Father enables you to celebrate as you wait and also recognize and celebrate when the answer comes.
Please agree with me as I pray:
Father, I thank You for giving me the strength to wait and the understanding of how to live while I wait. I will not sit and rock in a chair until You do what I want. I will not miss your response because I think I know what it should be. I will continue to put one foot in front of the other. I will continue to do what I know You have already purposed for me to do. I will continue to study, pray, worship and bless You with my life. Father, I thank You because I am Your sheep and I hear You clearly. If the answer is yes, soon or no, I will celebrate. Not just for the answer to my prayer, but because I know You hear me. Thank You for a voice to cry out to You, ears to hear to You, a heart to love You, and the will to wait for You…
