Ephesians 2:5
This is how Grace rescued us: sin left us dead towards God, like spiritual corpses; yet in that state of deadness and indifference, God co-quickened us together with Christ. Sin proved how dead we were (the law confirmed it!) Grace reveals how alive we are now (the gospel announces it!) Before anyone but God believed it, He made us alive together with Him and raised us up together with Him. (Mirror Bible)
Do you still think it’s about work you can do?
The enemy tries to convince you there is a certain amount of work you must do in order for God to love you. But the reality is, God’s love for you has nothing to do with what you may do or what you might have done, bad or good. God’s love for you as everything to do with who He is. While you were dead in trespasses and sin, you weren’t thinking about God. But because of His infinite grace and love, He joined you together with Him. So now you are saved! Don’t allow the enemy to convince you of anything different. It’s not about you, never was, never will be. One of the greatest points of this warfare is found in the truth of God’s love. If the enemy can make you believe you have to earn salvation or work to keep it; you are defeated before you have begun.
Please agree with me as I pray:
Oh how excellent is Your grace and Your mercy towards me. When I was going my own way and doing my own thing; Your love rescued me and brought me into Your kingdom. I thought I was a “good” person. I now know there is no amount of good that I could have ever done, can ever do or think of doing that could make me deserve Your love. I know I can’t repay You. The thing I can do is accept what You did; believe in Your grace; testify of Your truth, and never forget to say thank You always…
