Psalms 4:3
But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him.

Are you set apart?

You are chosen. God picked you.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (New King James Version NKJV)

As you stand armed for battle, know you are not alone. The choosing was a covenant. You have your part to uphold the things of God, and God will uphold His word without wavering.

Hebrews 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their minds, even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding, and engrave them upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition AMPC)

He entered this agreement with you, knowing exactly who you are. Because He knows who you are and what you will do, He made a way for you to call to Him. He has promised to answer. Not because you won’t make mistakes, not because you are always obedient, but because He loves you.

Proverbs 24:16a For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again. (New King James Version NKJV)

He examines your heart, not your actions. He sees you when you pray and study.

1 Kings 8:39 then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive and act and give to each according to his ways, whose heart (mind) You know, for You and You alone know the hearts of all the children of men. (Amplified Bible AMP)

Your pure worship and praise go up to Him as a sweet savor. Know this, because God set you apart, you can run to the Rock who is higher than you, and find refuge from the storm.

Please agree with me as I pray:

Father, I just don’t know why You would pick me, but I thank You. If I was doing the choosing, I probably wouldn’t have picked me. Even right now, I repent for the things I have done that should have disqualified me, but didn’t. Not because I am worse than anyone else, but because I am not as good as You are. I don’t say I would not pick me to second guess Your choice. I say so to make sure I stay humble. Not only did You desire me, but You set me apart. You knew every decision I would make, the good ones and the bad ones. You knew when I would obey You and when I would reject You. You knew when I would allow Your word to transform me into Your image and when I would try to make provision for my flesh. Yet, You chose me anyway. Because You know all about me, You also know exactly what needs to happen in my life in order to buff out the rough places and fix the dents. I thank You for loving me. Your love for me takes me through situations and allows certain things to happen because You know exactly what I need. I am assured because I can call to You when I see myself stumbling and You answer, every time…
