1 Peter 4:7
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Are you ready for the end of all things?

How often do you hear the statement “The end is near” or “The Lord is soon to return”? What does it mean to you? How does it affect you? People have been saying one or both statements for 100’s of years. They will continue to say them for 100’s more, unless Jesus returns. Believers often use those statements when something morally, ethically and/or socially degrading happens (a sign of the times). Whether or not you are marking events, the end is coming.

James 5:8-9 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. 9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! (New King James Version NKJV)

Reflecting on the times should bring a sense of joy. It marks the end of suffering, hurting, pain, sinning, and needing to repent. The battle will be over, and the victory will we won. Heaven is in view.

Revelation 21:3-5 I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” 5 And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” (New Living Translation NLT)

To prepare for this time, you should be self-controlled in all things, showing forgiveness, love at a greater dimension, and continue in prayer.

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities, 25 Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching. (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition AMPC)

You are still the only bible some will read. As you prepare, help someone else prepare as well.

Please agree with me as I pray:

Father, I look forward to the return of Jesus and to coming home to be with You. I repent for those days when I allowed the state of the world and the things happening in it to make me sad. I have finally come to the place where I no longer get depressed over what I see. I have joy. I look until I see Your hand at work, and I have peace. What I feel is not morbid or suicidal, it’s just true. This world will end, and I will be with You forever. I love the life You have given me. I will work and serve until You return, but my divine purpose is to reconcile the world to You so we all will spend eternity in heaven. This change in perspective and attitude is such a relief. I am no longer holding on to this life like it is all I have. I will do what You sent me to do, but I have the blessed assurance, unspeakable joy and   confident anticipation of Your return…
