2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Do you realize what you have?

How many times have you read or quoted 2 Timothy 1:7? How do you apply it to your life? What does it mean to you? Do you understand what fear, power, love, and a sound mind mean to your walk with the Lord? In order to walk in the God-kind of power, love and mental stability, you must stay in the presence of God by continuing staying in prayer, praise, worship and study. If you do, God will strengthen you and you will not walk in fear.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always and delight in your faith; 17 be unceasing and persistent in prayer; 18 in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. (Amplified Bible, AMP)

2 Timothy 1:7 is a verse to stand on. Look at what it provides as it sits as a basis for your training and at the foundation of your arsenal. First and foremost, you don’t have fear.

Romans 8:15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear [of God’s judgment], but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [the Spirit producing sonship] by which we [joyfully] cry, “Abba! Father!” (Amplified Bible, AMP)

But there are three other things that you have that make you unstoppable. You have the power to win when you encounter foes and dangers; to stand up to your trials; and to live victoriously.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (KJV)

You have the love of and for God; love that covers a multitude of faults; yours and other peoples.

1 Corinthians 13:7-8a Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. 8 Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. (Amplified Bible, AMP)

You have a mind that is well balanced and under the influence of God.

1 Peter 4:1-2 Since Jesus went through everything you’re going through and more, learn to think like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. Then you’ll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want. (The Message, MSG)

Now that you know what you have, live like it. You can be victorious in anything and everything you will do in your life.

Please agree with me as I pray:

Father, I admit I am sometimes too conscious of fear. I spend time working on not being afraid, understanding I don’t walk in fear, and speaking over my life so fear, sent by the enemy, does not stop me. I spend so much time fighting fear; I don’t spend enough time thinking about and speaking over my life what I have. I have the power to run through a troop and leap over a wall. I can triumph in You. Your love dispels any dismal foreboding I may have; covers my faults and allows me to forgive. You have renewed my mind. I am more than a conqueror; I am an overcomer. Thank You, Father, I will no longer spend so much time thinking about fear. I will spend my time using the weapons You’ve given me, growing, being stronger and speaking of the strength I walk in because of You…
