Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: The Spirit also sighs within us with words too deep for articulation, assisting us in our prayers when we struggle to know how to pray properly. When we feel restricted in our flesh, he supersedes our clumsy efforts and hits the bulls-eye every time. (Mirror Bible)
Are you willing to be vulnerable before God?
When you are in a tough situation, you can rejoice and be comforted because you don’t have to understand what is going on. You don’t have to know why it happened. You don’t have to know what the solution is. You don’t have to know the “right words” to pray. You can just go into the presence of El Shaddai, of Adonai and weep; moan; speak in tongues, if you do; or say Father I stretch my hands to Thee. The Holy Spirit, who is your comforter, can take it from there. He knows what you need and is able to communicate with the Father in a way you cannot.
Romans 8:27 God, the searcher of the heart, knows fully our longings, yet he also understands the desires of the Spirit, because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us, His holy ones, in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny. (The Passion Translation)
What would keep you from accessing the help you need? Is it pride? Do you think you should be able to handle this on your own? Are there only certain issues you take to God? Is there another reason keeping you from recognizing God is and has the answer? Remember you don’t have all the information. There are parts to the story only God knows. You just have to admit that and get the help that is already available for you.
Please agree with me as I pray:
Father, I know sometimes I come to You thinking I know what the problem is. Often, I also think I know what the solution should be. I don’t take into consideration the things I don’t know about; the things I don’t understand; and the things I didn’t recognize as intricate to my situation. I thank You so much for the Holy Spirit. He is my guide. He knows all the sides to the story. He knows me, and He is part of You. He is able to intervene. At the same time, He is able to comfort me. The Holy Spirit speaks so softly to let me know I don’t have the solution to the problem because I don’t have the big picture. I am encouraged, and I can wait to hear the words I should be praying. I am able to stand still as You work out the situation. My heart overflows as He prays for me. I know when You work something out it is done completely. As I wait and listen, I am able to rest as the Holy Spirit intercedes for me. I know He is speaking to You about me and then He speaks to me about You…
Hallelujah God Almighty, for the guidance of the Holy Spirit and how it bridges the gap for us all unto You!!! In Jesus Name!!!
