The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way

Do you have your new walking shoes on?

Have you seen a child when they get new shoes? He/she looks down at their feet and takes off. So happy to be walking, so happy about the new shoes. Not really looking where they are going. Not even considering the idea that they may fall. That is how the Lord wants you to walk with Him, knowing He will be there.

Psalm 119:133 Establish my footsteps in [the way of] Your word; Do not let any human weakness have power over me [causing me to be separated from You]. (Amplified Bible)

You know God has picked the right task, the right path, and the right time for you. The correct size and fit.

Romans 8:28-30 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (New King James Version)

You only need to be happy to be used by Him. You’ve got your marching orders, make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). You got your head down and moving. Having faith, though you might wobble, and possibly fall, you will not be hindered.

Proverbs 24:16a For the lovers of God may suffer adversity and stumble seven times, but they will continue to rise over and over again. (The Passion Translation)

Father, with each day, I feel like the child with new shoes on. I don’t have to watch where I’m going because I know my footsteps are ordered by You. I know I can trust You. How wonderful! The excitement is welling up within me even if I as I think about it. You are such an awesome God! You order my steps and I love it. The places You take me may not be the places I want to go or I think that I should go; but You have designed a way for me to give You glory with my life. If I just keep my eyes on You, I’ll end up in the place You have ordained for me to be…
