The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
Are you confident God will work it out?
Do you sometimes sit and think about your life? Assessing what you are doing, looking at your accomplishments and wondering when all the prophesies spoken over you will come to pass. You don’t cease to be who God created you to be simply because the devil seems to be winning. You continue to believe because God’s word is true.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 And we also [especially] thank God continually for this, that when you received the message of God [which you heard] from us, you welcomed it not as the word of [mere] men, but as it truly is, the Word of God, which is effectually at work in you who believe [exercising its superhuman power in those who adhere to and trust in and rely on it]. (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition AMPC)
You may even go to God with questions about your current situation. To add insult to injury, it may even “seem” to you those who do not know the Lord at all are having outstanding success.
Psalm 37:1-3 Don’t follow after the wicked ones or be jealous of their wealth. Don’t think for a moment they’re better off than you. 2 They and their short-lived success will soon shrivel up and quickly fade away, like grass clippings in the hot sun. 3 Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God, and you will dwell in the land, feasting on his faithfulness. (The Passion Translation TPT)
You may even have a tinge of jealousy because the babes in Christ are more excited than you are. At this point, the devil is really having a field day. He is not winning. However, he has a smoke screen hiding your victory. What is your response? It is time to worship.
Isaiah 6:2-3 Above Him stood the seraphim; each had six wings: with two [each] covered his [own] face, and with two [each] covered his feet, and with two [each] flew. 3 And one cried to another and said, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory! And one cried to another and said, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory! 4 And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who cried, and the house was filled with smoke. (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition AMPC)
- Worship clarifies your vision of who God is.
Isaiah 6:1 In the year that King Uzziah died, [in a vision] I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and the skirts of His train filled the [most holy part of the] temple. (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition AMPC)
- Worship shows you who you are.
Isaiah 6: 5 Then said I, Woe is me! For I am undone and ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts! (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition AMPC)
- Worship cleanses you and makes you bold.
Isaiah 6:7-8 And with it he touched my mouth and said, Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity and guilt are taken away, and your sin is completely atoned for and forgiven. 8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition AMPC)
- Worship brings you into the presence of God.
Psalm 100:2 Worship Yahweh with gladness. Sing your way into his presence with joy! (The Passion Translation TPT)
- Worship reminds you of all God has done for you and strengthens you.
Psalm 103:3-5 You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done. You’ve healed me inside and out from every disease. 4 You’ve rescued me from hell and saved my life. You’ve crowned me with love and mercy. 5 You satisfy my every desire with good things. You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again like a flying eagle in the sky! (The Passion Translation TPT)
- Worship reassures you of your place with God.
Psalm 95:6-7a O come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and prayer]. 7 For He is our God And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition AMPC)
- Worship produces joy.
Malachi 4:2 But for you who worshipfully fear My name [with awe-filled reverence] the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go forward and leap [joyfully] like calves [released] from the stall. (Amplified Bible AMP, edited)
In the timing of the Lord, not necessarily when you want to see it happen; God will do what He has promised. There is no door that can be closed when the Lord has opened it. You will experience a “suddenly” moment. When did the Lord plan this job? When was my promotion orchestrated? Though the enemy will try to keep you from accomplishing God’s ordained will, he cannot; his tricks will become the steppingstones and launching pads to your success (2 Corinthians 4:16-17). As he turns up the heat, know that your blessing is on the way.
Psalm 84:6 Even when their paths wind through the dark valley of tears, they dig deep to find a pleasant pool where others find only pain. He gives to them a brook of blessing filled from the rain of an outpouring. (The Passion Translation TPT)
Please agree with me as I pray:
Father, the enemy is so cunning. He paints pictures of failure and despair. He tries to make me believe there is no victory for me. He’s done it plenty of times. I am so grateful You are God. I’m grateful because there have been those, the enemy used, to try and stop my forward movement. Those same people have stood back in amazement at Your work in my live, time and time again. I’m grateful You changed the picture. You have the final say so in my life. I have to keep saying it, not just to the devil, but to myself. There is a saying in the world, “It is not what You know it’s who You know”. But the world does not really understand. Who I know and what I know is the same. You are Your word and Your word is You. Who I know is YOU! I know YOU! What I know is: You are able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above anything I can ask or think. I just have to believe Your word, trust You, and wait for the victory…
