Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you willing to allow God to grow you up?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A trick of the devil is to pull you into a moment where you spend time reminiscing about who you used to be and how you used to feel when you first got saved. Now, he doesn\u2019t want you to give glory to God for that event. His strategy is diabolical. What he wants to do is make you compare what you currently feel with what you once felt. If he\u2019s able to show you a difference in how you feel, he will also try to convince you there is something wrong with you. Then have you question your salvation.  You\u2019ll find yourself trying to do things to prove you are saved. Ultimately, you will be convinced you did not get saved and you need to do the process over again. Stop it! No matter how much you liked elementary school; you had to move on, so it is in Christ. To be victorious in this war, you have to mature in the things of God. You cannot be ruled by your emotions. Your salvation is not a feeling it is a fact. Stand on it. With each new level in Christ, the enemy intensifies the warfare. It can sometimes make you forget the joy you felt when you were saved. There is a remedy. At any moment you can say to God like David did \u201crestore unto me the joy of thy salvation\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please agree with me as I pray:Father, I remember when I surrendered my will to You. I remember the joy I felt and the peace.\u00a0 Each day looked and felt new; I felt new.\u00a0 I wanted to continue to feel that way. I realize I can\u2019t go back to that place, but I can have the joy of Your salvation renewed in me. I can spend more time with You and grow closer to You; experiencing new levels in You: higher heights and deeper depths. I will not allow the memories of the moment of my salvation to overshadow new moments with You. I will always have my salvation experience and thinking about it will always make me smile. But I am looking forward to new memories You will make with me and I am excited\u2026<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
