Take consolation in knowing you don’t have to allow the devil to win. You don’t have to use your humanity as a justification for not standing in the power Jesus’ death provided. It is easy to give yourself a pass, but you don’t have to. (New King James Version)

The way you keep the enemy from putting you in bondage is to stop making provision for your flesh. Yes, God does know you are human; He made you. He also knows what is in you. He knows you are able to withstand and be victorious because you are more than a conqueror. You are an overcomer. He has given you a way of escape, so you can bear whatever problem you have to confront.

1 Corinthians 10:13 We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously. I stumble less, the enemy does not win as often and I take ownership of my choices. You have given me a way of escape and I am taking it when the enemy brings temptation. Now, not only do I name the name of Christ, I live a life of Christ. Now, I walk in love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.
