{"id":472,"date":"2020-11-02T07:38:39","date_gmt":"2020-11-02T12:38:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pamelarussell.org\/teach\/?p=472"},"modified":"2021-05-02T04:20:47","modified_gmt":"2021-05-02T08:20:47","slug":"may-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pamelarussell.org\/teach\/may-1\/","title":{"rendered":"May 1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"font-size:14px\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">John 15:10 <\/span><\/strong><br><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father&#8217;s commandments, and abide in his love.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-purple-color\">Are you abiding?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be successful in this training, using the gifts God has given you for His glory, you must remain stable and fixed in a relationship of love that endures with God all your days; you must abide. Abiding gives you victory over the attacks of the enemy. When you think about abiding; what definition comes to mind? If one does not readily come to you, here are a few:<br> * To act or accept under a rule or decision.<br> * To comply with, to obey, to stick to, to standby.<br>There is another definition that clearly identifies what God requires \u201cto endure without yielding\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Hebrews 10:36 For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised. (Amplified Bible)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God\u2019s instruction to you for your success in Him is to abide. No matter what you are going through, no matter how you feel, you abide in Him, without yielding. You should not deviate from the assigned path, not looking to the left nor to the right. You are to keep His commandments even when it\u2019s not comfortable, even when you would rather do what you want to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Proverbs 4:26-27 Take care you don\u2019t stray from the straight path, the way of truth, and you will safely reach the end of your road. 27 Do not veer off course to the right or the left; step away from evil, and leave it behind. (The Voice)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By enduring, without yielding and keeping His commandments; you abide in His love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Please agree with me as I pray:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><em>Father, I thank You for the opportunity to evaluate whether or not I am abiding in Your love. You have shown me I must be faithful to Your will and commands if I am to use the gifts You gave me effectively. If I don\u2019t, I cannot be victorious against the enemy. I know sometimes my flesh wants to win, and I want to do what I want to do. I even try to give myself excuses for what I do. Please forgive me. Father, knowing I must endure without yielding has brought me to my knees. It rings in my heart. It ignites in my spirit. It lets me know there is nothing else I can do but cling to You. I must allow Your love to strengthen me and keep me on the straight path. Father, continue to guide my feet.
