Are you living like today is the day?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This scripture gives you a tip. You should live each day like today is the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthew 24:36 \u201cConcerning that day and exact hour, no one knows when it will arrive, not even the angels of heaven\u2014only the Father knows. (The Passion Translation)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Were you one of those children whose parents showed up at school, unannounced? You did not know when or what teacher they were going to talk to. So, you did not change into your \u201cextra clothes\u201d or choose to be the class clown. You were obedient, were respectful of your teachers, and did your class work. The same should be true for you as a child of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philippians 2:12 My beloved ones, just like you\u2019ve always listened to everything I\u2019ve taught you in the past, I\u2019m asking you now to keep following my instructions as though I were right there with you. Now you must continue to make this new life fully manifested as you live in the holy awe of God\u2014which brings you trembling into his presence. (The Passion Translation)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul was talking to the church at Philippi, but you can treat it as an admonition from God. Work like you don\u2019t know when Christ will return because you don\u2019t. The old folks used to say, \u201cDon\u2019t let Him catch you with your work undone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ephesians 5:15-16 So be very careful how you live, not being like those with no understanding, but live honorably with true wisdom, for we are living in evil times. Take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for his purposes. (The Passion Translation)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You should live each day manifesting love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. That way, when Jesus returns, He will find you doing what you know He requires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please agree with me as I pray:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Father, help me live each day as if Jesus will return, today. I can remember singing a song, \u201cWatch ye, therefore, you know not the day.\u201d They were singing about not knowing when I would die but the same applies for not knowing when it is \u201cthe day.\u201d I don\u2019t want to live with gifts unused, talents untapped and assignments not completed. When Jesus comes, I want Him to find me doing what You have purposed for me to do.
