They get silent and refuse to talk to anyone or take part in whatever activities are going on. They don\u2019t realize the punishment is for their good. Know any adults who act the same way? What about you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">1 Thessalonians 5:18 in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.  (Amplified Bible)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When things don\u2019t go the way you want them to. When God does not work out the situation the way you wanted it to be worked out. When there is no creative miracle for you. What do you do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">James 1:2-4 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don\u2019t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. (The Message)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this stage in your understanding of the spiritual war and level of your training, the answer should ring in your heart and spring from your lips. \u201cI am standing tall!!\u201d Are you? The old folks used to say, \u201cPull yourself up by your bootstraps\u201d. Not sure how to do that, but the point is tighten your grip on the Lord and get ready for the next round. David encouraged himself in the Lord (1Sam 30:6). You have to do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Please agree with me as I pray:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><em><em>Father, in the name of Jesus, I hope to say, \u201cI know how to abound and how to be abased\u201d. I don\u2019t want to be Your child who throws a temper tantrum. I want to be Your child who understands You and acknowledges that You know what is best for me. I repent for trying to force You to do things my way. Keep me close so I will accept Your choices for my life and align my will with Yours. Shine Your light on my thoughts and actions when I am expecting You to do what I want You to do, when I want You to do it, and how I want You to do it. I know You will continue to teach me, if I allow You to. Father, I will allow You to, because I want to continue to grow. I am gaining clarity and I am maturing. I understand if I always got what I wanted, my life would be a complete mess.
