{"id":638,"date":"2020-11-04T08:05:06","date_gmt":"2020-11-04T13:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pamelarussell.org\/teach\/?p=638"},"modified":"2021-07-14T15:24:20","modified_gmt":"2021-07-14T19:24:20","slug":"july-23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pamelarussell.org\/teach\/july-23\/","title":{"rendered":"July 23"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">1 Peter 4:7 <\/span><\/strong><br><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-purple-color\">Are you ready for the end of all things?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How often do you hear the statement \u201cThe end is near\u201d or \u201cThe Lord is soon to return\u201d? What does it mean to you? How does it affect you? People have been saying one or both statements for 100\u2019s of years. They will continue to say them for 100\u2019s more, unless Jesus returns. Believers often use those statements when something morally, ethically and\/or socially degrading happens (a sign of the times). Whether or not you are marking events, the end is coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">James 5:8-9 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. 9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! (New King James Version NKJV)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reflecting on the times should bring a sense of joy. It marks the end of suffering, hurting, pain, sinning, and needing to repent. The battle will be over, and the victory will we won. Heaven is in view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Revelation 21:3-5 I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, \u201cLook, God\u2019s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.\u201d 5 And the one sitting on the throne said, \u201cLook, I am making everything new!\u201d And then he said to me, \u201cWrite this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.\u201d (New Living Translation NLT)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To prepare for this time, you should be self-controlled in all things, showing forgiveness, love at a greater dimension, and continue in prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities, 25 Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching. (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition AMPC)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are still the only bible some will read. As you prepare, help someone else prepare as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Please agree with me as I pray:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><em>Father, I look forward to the return of Jesus and to coming home to be with You. I repent for those days when I allowed the state of the world and the things happening in it to make me sad. I have finally come to the place where I no longer get depressed over what I see. I have joy. I look until I see Your hand at work, and I have peace. What I feel is not morbid or suicidal, it\u2019s just true. This world will end, and I will be with You forever. I love the life You have given me. I will work and serve until You return, but my divine purpose is to reconcile the world to You so we all will spend eternity in heaven. This change in perspective and attitude is such a relief. I am no longer holding on to this life like it is all I have.
