On Assignment

Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

You have a job that’s constantly challenging you. You work in a highly stimulating environment.” You will be learning a lot, all the time. Being a soldier in the army of the Lord is a test of your attitude towards the Lord; a test of your ideas about your place in God and a test of your ability to bend but not break. You learn to accept that you are in a war whether you agree with it, like it or understand it. Absorb everything the Lord speaks to you. Observe everything around and above you. Your knowledge of the Word is important, but your attitude is more important. Are you ready to roll up your sleeves, willing to take on tasks that may appear small or insignificant?  Are you willing to work without praised? Your assignment is not a big part of your life, it is your life. You can allow the Lord to shape it like an artist and build it like an architect. Envision each task as a patch of a big quilt; each role is a building block or a stepping stone. God has assigned meaning to your assignment. Value the foundation He is laying for you.
