2 Timothy 3:13
People who are trapped in the mindset of hardships, labors and annoyances will continue to desperately try to get mileage out of a dead and redundant system. The lie that they believe is the very currency in which they trade. (Mirror Bible)
Do you live and speak of hope?
Do you listen to the radio or watch the news and ask yourself, can it get any worse? Well, the answer to your question is yes, the Bible says so.
2 Timothy 3:1-7 And know this: in the last days, times will be hard. 2 You see, the world will be filled with narcissistic, money-grubbing, pretentious, arrogant, and abusive people. They will rebel against their parents and will be ungrateful, unholy, 3 uncaring, coldhearted, accusing, without restraint, savage, and haters of anything good. 4 Expect them to be treacherous, reckless, swollen with self-importance, and given to loving pleasure more than they love God. 5 Even though they may look or act like godly people, they’re not. They deny His power. (The Voice)
Does that mean you just give up? No, it does not. Those who have gone before us, did not.
John 16:33 And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!” (The Passion Translation)
Those who spread bad news have a purpose, they set out to manipulate you and make you think there is no hope. They are fear merchants. They make you afraid of your trials, sorrows and suffering. They make you afraid of the evil in the world, of being slandered, maligned and insulted. When you are afraid, you are stifled and stuck, like a deer in the headlights. You don’t go forward; you don’t witness; you don’t preach; you just wait for the next terrible thing to happen. You rehearse the bad news to others and cause them to fear. Sometimes, you may feel overwhelmed and discouraged by what you see happening. It may even appear that this world is Godless; you still should have hope. Do what it says in 1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, (NIV)
See and read the news through the eyes of Christ and live with hope.
Please agree with me as I pray:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for giving me the opportunity to speak life and hope. I live in a world where it appears the enemy has the victory. It seems as if there is no value system. As believers, we have turned to the worldview, become politically correct, and lost our power to uplift and encourage. It looks like the evildoers are prospering. Father, I know You have already won the victory. As a follower of Christ, I know this life will not always be easy or without trial. But You have promised it can be real, full and lasting. Because I accepted Jesus, I am reborn into an inheritance which is beyond the reach of change and decay. It is imperishable, untarnished and unfading, reserved in heaven for me. So, I live with hope. I thank You because I am not governed by what I see. I am governed by what Your words says and the truth You have breathed in me. Though, in the end, I will be with You in glory; I can and should have joy and hope right now. I thank You…
Thank you Father for the hope of Your Glory ..in Jesus Name!!!
