Psalms 14:2
The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.  

Did the Lord find you in His search?

The Lord continues to look down from heaven in search of those who really want to understand Him and seek Him. You say you want to trust God and obey Him when He gives instruction.  But what happens when you are put in a situation where you have to choose what God requires over what you want yourself? Do you fail to choose God at all?  Is deciding to do what God wants, more difficult than you would like to admit? Do you have to stop and think about it first?

2 Chronicles 16:9a For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. (KJV)

Choosing God, without pause, is exactly what God wants you to do. He wants you to obey Him no matter the task, no matter the cost, no matter the sacrifice. He is looking for those who really want to follow Him.  Serving God is not a mundane, routine, fit-it-in-when-I-can kind of thing. Serving God is purposeful; it requires sacrifice, and it requires diligence.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (KJV)

Please agree with me as I pray:

Father, I thank You for reminding me that You Are continually looking for those whose heart is perfect towards You. I know it is good for me to pray on my drive to and from work. It is also good for me to pray over my breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thank You for helping me to realize You require more and I need more.  I had to change my way of thinking.  If I was going to be found by You, fitting You in, when it was convenient for me, was not sufficient. You wanted intimate conversations. Every day I look forward to another level of closeness, being drawn closer to You than I was the day before.  You are seeking those who really want You. I want to be found by You because I am seeking You with my whole heart…
