1 Chronicles 16:29
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

Are you giving God his due?

What is the Lord due? God is due your worship, sacrifice and glory. Yes, He forgives all your sins(1 John 1:9), heals all your diseases (Psalm 103:3), redeemed you (Galatians 3:13), crowns you with love and compassion (Psalm 103:4), satisfies your desires with good things (Psalm 103:5), and strengthens you in times of weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are who you are and have what you have because of God (1 Corinthians 15:10). Great is His faithfulness, grace and mercy (Psalms 86:15). You praise God for what He has done (Isaiah 12:5). Everything that has breath can praise God (Psalms 150:1).

As you get excited reading those scriptures and focusing on all He has done for you, go a step further. Take the time to think about Who He is. Who else could forgive sin, heal disease, redeem, continually give love and compassion, satisfy all desires and give strength in times of weakness? Nobody else, only God! Al He asks for in return is your worship.

Psalm 29:2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty and majesty of His holiness [as the creator and source of holiness]. (Amplified Bible AMP)

The thing is, only those who profess salvation can worship. It is through salvation that you understand who God is and why you should worship. Go back and read November 14 devotional.

Revelation 14:7 With a loud voice he shouted, “You must reverence God and glorify him, for the time has come for him to judge. Worship at the feet of the Creator of heaven, earth, sea, and springs of water.” (The Passion Translation TPT)

Taking time to think about His power and His love should not be something you have to schedule; it should be your constant posture.

Joshua 1:8 Be sure that the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Good News Translation GNT)

When you to focus on the Father and not on you, worship is the only result. If you and had ten thousand hours in a day instead of twenty-four, there still would not be enough time to give God all the worship He deserves.

Please agree with me as I pray:

My Father, You deserve endless worship. I thank You every day for everything You do for me. I understand when I thank You for what You have done a great deal of that is really about me. In those times, I am focusing on how You delivered me, how You gave me peace, how You dried my tears, how You calmed my fears, and on and on. I repent for taking up so much of my time with You talking about me. I know You can do those things for me only because You are God. You are due the glory and the honor. I will remember to frame my thanks differently from now on. Because You are the beginning and the end; You know what is coming in my life and You can help me. Because You created all things; You have made what I need to honor You. Because You are omniscient, You know what my prayer is before I ask. Because You can do all things; You can make a way when I think there is no way. Because You are Omni-present; I don’t have to feel alone. Because You rule and super rule; the devil will never win. Because You are all powerful; there is nothing You cannot do. You deserve my worship every one of the 60 seconds in a minute, every one of the 60 minutes in an hour, every one of the 24 hours a day, every one of the 7 days in the week, every one of the 4 or 5 weeks a month, and every one of the 12 months a year. Though it seems sometimes, there’s not enough time in the day; I will carve out time for me to worship You. I will live a life where I worship You continually. Not just in the time I devote to You, all I say and all I do will be worship You. When I am called to glory, worship will be the only thing I will do. Things filling my time now won’t be there. Until that day, I will worship You while I work. I will worship You while I cook dinner. I will worship You while I clean the house. I will worship You…
