Zechariah 3:1
And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
Are you winning or losing?
The enemy’s job is to keep you from accomplishing what God has intended. If you have read the book of Revelations, you know God is going to win. That should be great consolation to you. However, what about in the meantime? Don’t you want to live your life in God’s promises and provisions?
Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. (KJV)
Take time to reflect on your life. See where you have victories and where the enemy made you believe he defeated you. Ask God to show you what really happened. Is there something you could have done differently? Is there another perspective you could have or should have taken? What are you to do now and in the future?
Deuteronomy 4:9-10 Only take heed, and guard your life diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen and lest they depart from your [mind and] heart all the days of your life. Teach them to your children and your children’s children. (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition AMPC)
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength) and recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him [be] glory (honor, majesty, and splendor) both now and to the day of eternity. Amen (so be it)! (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition AMPC)
Ask Him to expose whatever is in you, preventing you from standing against the enemy and winning. Submit everything God exposes to you back to Him.
Psalm 139:23 God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. (The Passion Translation TPT)
When He shows you, ask for help, strength, more faith, deliverance or whatever is needed to get you from where you are to where you need to be.
Psalm 139:24 See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting way—the path that brings me back to you. (The Passion Translation TPT)
What God reveals, He heals. You don’t have to live a defeated life waiting until the end. You can win now!
Please agree with me as I pray:
Father, thank You for the life You created me to live. I understand the enemy desires for me to live beneath my privileges. He doesn’t want me to walk out the promises You have for me in this life. I also understand the only way the devil gets victory is because I allow him to. I repent for not asking You to show me what is in me that keeps me from winning. I ask now and I will continue to ask You to help me recognize when there is something within me, something the devil sees and is able to exploit. Help me use the weapons, You have provided for me, with the greatest effectiveness. Continue to change me from glory to glory until I have Your characteristics and I look just like You. I will no longer be a sure target and a casualty of war. I am no longer a victim; I am victorious. Continue to use my deficits, my lacks and my flaws as steppingstones as You transform them into sufficiency, abundance and perfection. Show me what I have to give up. Show me what I have to put to the side. Whether it’s an attitude, an opinion, or a relationship. Transform me. I want victory in my life. I know You can show me. I know You will heal what You reveal in me. I thank You in advance…
