Romans 8:15
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Are you willing to be used by God in difficult situations?

Have you heard or read a definition of Fear that states: Fear is false evidence appearing real?  You may have quoted it and used it for encouragement to someone else.  But sometimes the evidence is not false, it is true and there may be a legitimate reason to be fearful.  The doctors may have found cancer, high blood pressure, a tumor, spots on the mammogram etc. At that point, you cry out to your Daddy and then stand.  You don’t walk in torment due to the report, but in the power that says whatever happens, God’s desire will be done in your life.  He knows what you are able to handle.  His thoughts are good and not evil. He has an expected end for your life.  Can you accept you may have to go through some difficult situations, or do you want God to supernaturally intervene?

John 9:1-3 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. (KJV)

It is not wrong to want the intervention, but maybe the reason you are in the situation is so God will make His works manifest in you. Did you ever stop to think that God chose you for the task? Can you imagine God wanted someone to show the world how to go through, without fear, knowing He is in control; and He picked you. If you are willing, you can hold your head up and stand victorious because of His power at work within you.

Please agree with me as I pray:

Father, there will be times in my life when things will happen, and I will get bad reports. In those times, I will have to make a choice. Help me decide to trust You, to believe You, and to stand on Your word without moving. The enemy is no longer trying to fool me with imaginations and dismal forebodings. He is coming against me with actual situations and circumstances. Father, I have to deal with them. I have to face them. I want to believe the report of the Lord. I want to believe I am above and not beneath. I want to believe I am the lender and not one who borrows. Help me hear the facts but believe The Truth. I know I cannot allow fear, intimidation, or anything the enemy throws my way, to govern me. I know I can cry out to You, Daddy, and find peace and refuge in the midst of any storm. Not for You to remove the problem, but to know You have already given me the strength to endure it and I will be the better for it…
